
A Micro 4/3 camera isn’t all that much smaller than a small DSLR, but when you mount this lens on your Micro 4/3 body, it’s in a whole different (smaller) size class. It’s also 2 stops faster than the kit zooms and therefore is good in low light and allows control over depth of field. The Lumix 20 is beautifully sharp, has less color fringing than the Oly 17, and has pleasing bokeh rendering. Small downside is that it doesn’t focus as quickly as the Panasonic kit zoom.
