
I’ll echo bearieamazon’s review. This accessory feels solid and well-made, but it practically renders anything you shoot using it useless. It degrades sharpness tremendously and causes the most pronounced chromatic aberration I’ve ever seen on a piece of optics.
If your aim is to produce very blurry landscapes with strong blue and yellow fringes, then this lens might work for you. If you in any way shape or form are shooting people, give this a pass.
BTW, the sample images on the LensBaby website using this accessory are also highly UNrepresentative of the actual image quality produced. I’ve written to them regarding this and haven’t received feedback. The images they are showing must have received a *tremendous* amount of post-processing to remove some of the barrel distortion and the chromatic aberration from the images.
Help answer the question about Wide Angle
What are the main differences between wide angle, fisheye, and wide angle zoom lenses?
I have an idea between wide angle and wide angle zoom (kinda Wide Angle self explanatory) - but I would like to know would like to know the main difference(s) between fisheye lenses and wide angle.Do fisheye lenses cover more area? Can you adjust how much you want in your 'bubble' persay (in pictures)Can you adjust anything with a standard wide angle lens?Thanks!
