The Diffuser is very bad for the cameraman, because the flash actually bounce back, it can nearly blind your flash in secs. Just buy small diffuser bag that work better and won’t hurt you eye. Also the puffer pop up is poor qualiry made, is too easy to make it fold apart and I worry the plastic might hurt the hot shoe since is poorly made and sometime hard to take it out. No diffuser pop up can replace external flash, biggest advntage of external flash is bounce up for indoor while you can’t do with pop up, it won’t look as nature compare to bounce flash.
Help answer the question about Diffuser Center
Regarding the digital camera, what relationship does recording pixel number have to compression pixel number?
I have a terrible time getting good pictures with the digital camera. I've tried every combination of exposure, lighting, etc. I load pics on to eBay and, the always look pretty good, despite the fact that the eBay picture loader always flags them as substandard and informs me that the longest side should be at least 1000 pixels. Well, I have the recording pixel setting Diffuser Center on M2, which is 2048x1536! I was using M3 which is 1600x 1200, before moving up. My confusion really deepens when it comes to setting compression pixels! The manual for this CANNON camera has like 120 pages, says that for the best quality pictures, use "superfine" which has the number - 967 (I'm assuming pixels), when things weren't turning out right, I set it to "fine" which has the number 1720. I have the lighting down pretty well, I think, and, I shoot on ISO HI (auto)...and, center weighted metering...I'm shooting coins in a diffuser "studio" ...so, not bright spots. I still have a terrible time getting, and, editing a decent picture without taking about 50 shots and, spending way to much time editing, to get them to look the way they should. Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong. And, please, is there any direct relationship between the recording pixels and the compression pixels, if so, what ? Could that be where I'm messing up ??
