This cable was supposed to work with Sony cameras, but it doesn’t fit my Sony a300.

Olympus cameras VS. Sony Cyber shot cameras?
Is the picture quality much better in the Sony Cyber Shot cameras Olympus Sony than in the Olympus waterproof cameras? So much that I should sacrifice the waterproof (and etc.) part in the Olympus and buy me a Sony Cyber Shot instead?If you could get me answers first, that would be very good :)
