Help answer the question about Infrared Glass
Can only light of the electromagnetic waves be magnified using a magnifying glass?
I read this statement on http://www.antonine-education.co.uk/physics_gcse/Unit_1/Topic_5/topic_5_what_are_the_uses_and_ha.htm:"Light Infrared Glass forms a small part of a large family of electromagnetic waves."Since we can magnify light by refraction through glass, does that mean other wavelengths (like infrared) can be magnified in the same manner? Or is there a sharp boundary (like where wavelengths are visible as light) where magnification ceases? If so, why?
