this product gives a new look of your dslr. my Xsi looks more professional than without it. with the price you can’t go wrong. the material is plastic but looks like it could protect your lens as well.
one thing i’ve notice about this product is that it’s difficult to screw in with a filter onto the lens.
for a standard adult hands it’s really hard to screw in. i wish there could be a simplier way to put it in and out of the lens since i have this wide angle adapter and micro lens that i frequently inter-change for my shooting styles.
giving 3 stars for this because it’s so difficult to put it in and out of my lens; overall this works great for giving extra shade for your lens.
Help answer the question about Lens Hood
Lens hood when its not to bright?
I have a hoya uv filter on my lens do I really need a lens hood. I noticed it can cut out light which is good if its bright but Lens Hood otherwise i dont need it right? I used it today and was enough sunny and made the photos of people abit out of focus like fuzzy for the face*wasnt enough sunnyRight but lens hood is more for bright sun as I see it , it cuts the light out so if it wasnt to sunny it could of caused the blur in my photo on the person face
