With this gadget, I am able to use my Vivitar 283 flash unit with my new digital Canon and Panasonic cameras. I have several accessories for the 283, too, so it was worthwhile to pay the price of the adapter to have the use of the still-serviceable Vivitar flash system. I agree with another reviewer’s comments about lack of technical information on the device.
Help answer the question about Regulator Adapter
Christmas lights won't work with light socket AC adapter?
I wanted to put Christmas lights around my doorway, but there is no nearby AC socket. I have one of those adapters that you Regulator Adapter screw into a light socket and then you can plug an AC power plug into it. Well, I thought that would work for my christmas lights, but it's apparently too much voltage. The socket says it puts out 250v, which is too much for the christmas lights. I blew 3 fuses. How can I make this work? Is there a voltage regulator (??) or something that will do the trick?
