I bought this filter for my wife’s new Nikkor 28 mm wide angle lens. She used it for some digital images of a snowy outdoor scene last weekend and the images turned out very nicely. The sky seems a ‘warmer’ shade of blue and the clouds seem ‘whiter’ somehow. I’ve just ordered two more of these filters for other lens with the same diameter.
Help answer the question about Skylight Filter
Sony or Sigma Lens -?
I recently bought an A100 on craigslist. It came with 3 lenses, 2 of which have about the same range. I'm thinking about selling one of them, and was wondering which, in your opinion, was the best lens and what would be a fair price to sell either one for? Sony Lens: 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 Sigma Lens: 28-70mm Skylight Filter f2.8 with a Hoya 72mm skylight(1b) filter I tried to find info about the sigma lens online, but can't find this specific one. I think it was originally a 35mm lens, since it doesn't have any markings saying its an EX or DG lens, plus it's really freaking heavy! Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! I appreciate the in-depth answer. I looked at the Sigma lens again, and I really don't think it's the EX DG. The stock photos I've seen of that lens look different than the lens I have, and the photos show the lens saying Sigma EX DG on the side of the lens, where mine does not (it just says sigma). Is it possible to look up a lens by serial number?
