Help answer the question about Standard Filter
I was wondering which was better a spin on oil filter or a standard wool oil filter on an oil fired furnace?
my oil tank on my Mobil home has the oil filter on the outside and it is the wool type that freezes up . I run kerosene Standard Filter that is very expensive to try to avoid the problem that does not seem to help. my thoughts where to move the filter indoors but I don't think a standard wool oil filter would fit and if it does changing it would be a smelly task. If I installed a spin on will it hold up as well as the wool type ?will it filter as well ?.will not having the oil filter outside make it so I can run # 2 heating oil ? . I live in a rural area in upstate NY
