I have this lens, and from using many other lenses in this focal length, this is the sharpest edge-to-edge. The contrast is just right; not too much like with Canons and Nikons. The bokeh from this lens is textbook perfection.
It’s not as good (collectively) as the old 50mm Summicron-M Collapsible, the Canadian 35mm Summicron-M, or the Olympus 35SP’s 42mm Zuiko lens, but this one is available new.
Help answer the question about Leica Summicron
Are those Russian knockoffs of the classic 50's era Leica camera that Leica Summicron you see on Ebay any good?
I've seen some for sixty bucks plus shipping costs. And, they seem like they would be fun.
