This is a very versatile low-end zoom lens with good image quality. For its price, I have to say it is great!
Help answer the question about Macro Pentax
Pentax K-100 D question regarding extension tubes. How do I.......?
I have a new Pentax K-100 D camera. I have two lenses I bought for another camera that both work perfectly on the K-100 D. I also have a set of pentax-K-mount extension tubes for macro photography. When I attach these tube to my camera, between the camera body and the lens, I am unable to take pictures with Macro Pentax it. I can focus fine, but the camera will not let me take a picture, as the F reading on the display inside the viewfinder registers a --- instead of a number. This display simply flashes if I try to take a picture, the same way it does if the apature selector is not locked on A when the lens is directly mounted to the camera body. Is there any way to take a picture, a way to get around the fact that the camera obviously cannot recognize the F-setting on the lens? Thanks in advance.I have tried the camera with the apeture ring on A and off of A, when off of A the display simply flashes and won't let me do anything. I have tried it with exposure set to auto and to manual, with focus on auto and manual, etc. and cannot get it to work. Thank you.
