I owned this camera for about six months now. Knowing what I know now I would have paid three times as much for this little piece. My phoyographs are stunning and the G1 is the so m uch fun to use. Even my wife loves working with the G1 and she is camera inept. Pnansonic outdid themselves on this one. I wish there were more lenses on the market for this, but that’s like asking for lobster after one hell of a steak. God Bless you Lumix.
Help answer the question about Asph Black
Does the Tamron 18-270mm lens have the same glass quality as the Nikon kit lenses?
I own the Nikon 18-55 VR & 55-200 VR kit lenses that came with the Nikon D80 but I want and all-in-one lens. I've been reading a ton or reviews on the Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Asph Black Di-II VC LD Asph. AF Macro Lens and it seems very well built for the price range. The Nikon 18-200mm costs $400 more and I don't have that kinda money. I'm tired of changing lenses on the fly and really want a all-in-one but do the Nikon kit lenses offer "much better" glass?I use the Nikon D90 and am casual photographer and I'm not assuming the glass on this lens will be that off a pro-type lens but is the glass on the Tamron lens comparable to the glass quality of the Nikon brand kit lenses?
