I purchased this lens to determine whether or not I would even enjoy shooting with a prime lens. After reading all the reviews I had decided that if I liked the f/ 1.8 lens (which I do) I could buy 3 of them for what one f/1.4 costs. I love how sharp and clear my photos are and once I master zooming with my feet I will most likely go ahead and purchase the “better” lens, but for now I’m happy exploring my cameras features with this fun little lens.
Help answer the question about Lens Reserve
Minolta XG-M - In need of compatible flash?
My dad just brought out his dad's old film camera, a Minolta XG-M. We want to get it working again, but I'm in need of a compatible flash. I found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/MINOLTA-AUTO-320X-CAMERA-FLASH-UNIT-NO-RESERVE-/330498217994?pt=Digital_Camera_Flashes&hash=item4cf33a980a#ht_1618wt_1139 Would Lens Reserve that fit the hot shoe? Are there any other choices? I've looked for hours now and this seems to be the only option. It has a 50mm lens. Is this a good lens to start out with? I also found a Vivitar flash:http://cgi.ebay.com/VIVITAR-2600-CAMERA-FLASH-UNIT-NO-RESERVE-/330498218047?pt=Digital_Camera_Flashes&hash=item4cf33a983f#ht_1599wt_1139 Would this work as well?
