Great protection. I’m kind of rough on my gear. On my walk around lens (28-80) I had the camera on my shoulder and banged the lens front element first into the corner of a granite counter top. Dinged the cap, lens is perfect! If you need to shoot at a moment’s notice then not for you as it takes a second to screw/unscrew this cover. Me, I love it already!!!
