This is a great add-on for anyone that wants more reach with their point-and-shoot and doesn’t want to step up to a dslr. I bought it to use with my Panasonic Lumix FZ8 and the results are amazing. Before I bought it I had narrowed the field down to the Panasonic teleconverter and the Raynox. I went with the Raynox because (1) it was about $30 cheaper (2) no additional adapter was needed (for the Panasonic I needed a $25 adapter) (3) it is threaded to accept filters (not so for the Panasonic) (4) 2.2x as opposed to 1.7x for the Panasonic. I’ve read some reviews with complaints about vignetting and color distortion, but I have not seen anything of the sort. I mainly do bird photography and I was able to get clear, rich hand-held shots. Comes with an assortment of adapter rings, front and rear caps, padded storage bag, and hood. The only tiny complaint is that it is a bit difficult to screw it on.
Help answer the question about Pro Telephoto
tripod quality question - i'm thinking about getting the Slik Pro 700DX AMT-Titanium Alloy Tripod with 3-Way?
Pan Head. Is this a good tripod Pro Telephoto for a canon 40d with a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM IS AutoFocus Wide Angle Telephoto Zoom Lens? I would be shooting both indoors and outdoors and was wanting to not spend any more than this on a tripod. thanks for the help!http://www.adorama.com/SL700D.html
