The 62mm circular polarizing filter is the size for select Pentax AF lenses, including the Pentax AF 28-105mm f/4.0-5.6 (although not the AL version, which is 58mm). I bought this filter for my AF 28-105 as it is my general “walkaround” lens on a Pentax K100D. For those that don’t know (new to SLR), you need a “circular” polarizing filter on auto-focus lenses, as a “linear” polarizing filter will prevent autofocus from working. Adding this filter does bring out the rich colors of the sky and water without breaking the bank.
A prior reviewer complained it didn’t do much for him/her, but circular polarizers are largely for reducing reflection (although, quite possibly, sometimes increasing refraction), so it’s really only useful for the sky, water and reducing other light-based reflections. I don’t know what the other reviewer meant by it resulting in “soft” images, although I have a Tamron 28-300mm 10.7x “superzoom” and it is soft on its own (and junk compared lower zooms, let alone prime, lenses).
Now be aware that this inexpensive filter is not most ideally transparent and the additional f-stops this filter will add will limit your capabilities. If you’re trying to capture such motion and want a better filter, you’re already spending more money for a faster lens as well (or you should be). If not, then this is the filter you want, at the right price. I give it four (4) stars because it is a great value for still or slower motion photography when you have inexpensive lenses where speed is not your consideration, but cost is.
Again, remember, you need “circular” polarizing filters for auto-focus lenses, or auto-focus will not work (such as with “linear” ones).

Lens for Canon 7d all types of photography?
Ok well i think i have a better idea of what i want to do with my lenses but not really sure on which ones to get I've tested out 70-200 f4 and love it but its a little long for my 7d i find my self having to be amazingly far back.

I have more vintage lens but they were kind of passed down to me i don't use them often im looking for something new that's fit for the Lens Helios camera without adapters and magnification aspects.
What im looking to do :
Portrait - Mostly Outdoor but would still like to be able to do indoor in tight spaces (Don't have a studio)
Wildlife Just birds, random animals
Landscape
I would like to get more abstract maybe a fish eye but that's a special purpose lens so im in no rush for something i don't think i'll make money off of .
As for lens quality /contrast/ color etc. What do you think would be adequate for me to get im not to hung up on prime vs zoom but im talking about crop factors etc as to what im trying to do with photography.

Well the helios i aquired because i like the bokeh affect of it kind of swirly nothing more nothing less the other manuals were "GIVEN" to me...i didnt buy them because i think they are better by any means. I stated i dont even use them. The 70-200 because of indoor work which i already stated on a crop sensor when i dont have a huge studio to work with.
