First this is a very simple slide copier. You will need to do a little setup work to get good results. I bought this to copy some old 35mm half frame, 126 and 110 slides. I couldn’t get the resolution I wanted out of a flat bed or hand held slide copier as most are optimized for 35mm slides. Using a Nikon D90 and the 55-200mm kit lens, I got spectacular results. I could zoom right in on the half frame or the 110 slide and get a 12 mega pixel image in raw that I could correct in post. Some of the slides are 40 years old and the colors are shifting. There where no instructions with the unit, so I had to try a couple of setups to get everything working well. This is not the fastest way to copy slides, but you can get great results. The setup I used to make it reasonably fast and painless is as follows: Put the camera on a tripod and use the remote trigger, aim the camera at a white surface at about three feet distance, I used white foam core, aim two daylight corrected fluorescent lamps at the foam core at 45 degree angles to the aim point of the copier, Insert slides in the the carrier emulsion side towards the lens, zoom and focus (I went with manual focus) as needed to frame the shot, set the camera to F/11 and tripped the remote. I set white balance to 5200k to match the lamps, but auto would have worked. I had to crop and color correct all of the images, but they looked just as good if not better in some cases than the originals. Bang for the buck this is not a bad copier, but if you have good quality slides that need no correction, one of the hand held self contained slide copiers might be faster. But if you have to make corrections for color shift or odd format sizes, this unit can’t be beat. It’s also the lazy way to do it, the tripod was set at the end of the dining room table and the foam core and lamps where on the table, I did all the copying while sitting down.

Problems installing new Ink cartridge?
This was my first time installing a new ink cartridge. I have an HP 1350 all in one printer, scanner, copier connected to my Compaq Presario Hansol computer My first mistake was sliding the cartridge container Slide Copier out with my hand to take them out My first mistake was taking the former cartridges out to go buy new ones. I was gone for 5 hours before I came back. I bought the same versions as the former ones. Now I figured out I didn't have to slide the container and that it would slide itself if I turned on the whole printer. So now, there's a red light that comes on saying check print cartridge. I was actually reading something from this website and found that i made so many mistakes. Please help
