This lens works just as you’d hope. The wide aperture helps when used as a normal telephoto and aids focussing for macro work. The build is as good as you’ll get in this price range and it is very light compared to some macro lenses. there is a nice big grip for manual focus and the autofocus has no issues. I can’t think of any negatives worth mentioning.
Help answer the question about Canon Tamron
Which lens brand is better for a Canon? Tamron or Sigma?
I know that Canon Lens will to best on a Canon camera, but not all can afford this luxury! I am looking to get a zoom lens for my Canon Canon Tamron Rebel XS DSLR. I need to get a 200-300mm lens. I have seen a lot about Tamron and Sigma being compatible for my canon camera, but wanted to know which brand hold a higher quality with my camera. Any recommendations would be greatly accepted :) thank you!BUT the Tamron and Sigma lens don't come in IS or USM. Do they have a image stabilizer in them or anything equivalent?
