Help answer the question about Reversing Macro
Excel Macros Help please!!?
okay so i've been going crazy. I know very little about Macros and codes, modules and all that. But I learned how to record a macro and then assign it to a picture/shape to have it do what I recorded. but m having trouble. I have 3 macros... 1) the first one Clears all the selected cells I want to clear (I started recording and selected the cells i want to clear then clicked delete and stopped recording) then the 2) second one I recorded a macro that allows me to insert a row above a row that i locked due to I do not want it deleted.... then 3) the Reversing Macro 3rd macro is another one I recorded that does the reverse of the 2nd one-this one deletes the below row. I use this at work to enter some information, sometimes I need more rows and sometimes less and I do it daily so I wanted to clear it every morning The problem I'm having is that...the first macro works fine-everything clears ...the second macro works good also-adds row about my another row that i keep protected...but the 3rd macro wont delete because it doesn't delete merged cells. I cannot unmerge these due to the way it's format on the top of the spreadsheet, however I attempted when making the macro and recording, unlocking the sheet then unmerging, and then deleting the row, then protecting the sheet again...I thought this was brilliant, but I ended up allowing that macro to delete the row I do not want deleted because of when I unlocked the sheet during the 3rd macro then my row i dont want to delete wasn't protected and got deleted. I don't know what else to do. very frusterating. I have hours doing this. I would greatly appreciate it.
