I’ve had this camera for three years. I’ve dropped it twice onto hard-packed dirt. One impact landed directly on the lens from about four feet and resulted only in a stiffening of the front focus ring. No other detectable damage. Another time I was steadicaming with it, running down a steep trail and I tripped. The camera went flying and landed again right on the lens, but this time, NO damage! What an awesome camera! And it takes beautiful 24p widescreen images and clear sound. You couldn’t ask for more.
Help answer the question about Canon Jvc
What entry-level camcorder should I get: the JVC gr-d770 or Canon zr830?
My camcorder recently broke after using it for seven years due to the heads simply Canon Jvc wearing down and I need a new camcorder but I'm not willing to spend more than $320 (without tax). I've been researching and liked both the Canon zr830 and JVC gr-D770, but can't find any reviews as to which is better. Hopefully I can get an answer from someone who really knows the answer.
